May 2026 Celebrating David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday

Residents enjoyed a wonderful day of celebration as we marked Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday and reflected on his incredible contribution to bringing the natural world into our homes over the years.

As part of the celebrations, residents were asked a fun question: If you could have your photograph taken with any animal in the world, which one would you choose? The answers sparked lots of conversation, laughter, and storytelling, with choices ranging from familiar favourites to more adventurous wildlife encounters.

To bring everyone’s ideas to life, we used AI to create personalised images of residents alongside their chosen animals. Seeing the finished pictures created plenty of smiles and became a lovely way to celebrate imagination, memories, and a shared appreciation of nature.

The day also included themed activities and opportunities for residents to share favourite wildlife programmes and memorable moments they have enjoyed over the years.
